Gallery Stuff

Our new gallery’s working out pretty nicely however there are still a lot of aspects of it I’m learning my way around. Up until last night I had no idea members could create their own photo albums. I thought I’d turned that off. After thinking about it, what I’ve done is set it so each member can create 1 photo gallery of their own but no more. I have also changed the settings so that you can delete, edit, or move around pictures that you have already posted, not those posted by others, but the ones you’ve put up.

This means that there are two places you can stick photos…in either the categories I’ve created (dances, naval, aviation etc etc ) OR in your own personal gallery.

So that we keep things straight, lets say that if you’ve got any pictures that might have general Culver interest, (i.e. they would fit well into one of the categories) please do put them into the proper category.

Your personal gallery though is for all those pics people have with them and one or two other people in them "Me and Susie" pics or "Jack, Bobby, and myself at the naval building." Those should go into your personal album.

There are a good number of such pics in the categories already but thats fine. No need to change anything we’ve done already.

Also I’ve changed it so that you can browse through user galleries as if they were another category in the Photo Galleries section. Should be fun.

Some of you may be wondering "How do I start up my personal album?"

Go to "My Controls" and on the menu to the left the top option should have the options that let you create your own gallery.

Also, if anyone uploads any innappropriate pictures their account will be frozen and deleted. Zero tolerance on that front.

Also multiple accounts so that people can have multiple albums will not be tolerated either. We’ve got a case of that with Miss Chan but I’m going to streamline and combine her pictures….as soon as I sort out how….
