Culver newsletter, forum changes, google status
Received word a few days ago that the site’s getting a mention in this month’s @Culver electronic newsletter. This is great news as it means we might get more eyes over here and more voices in the CulverTalk forums. The letter goes out today and will contain a special announcement I’ll be making officially on the site later this evening here on the front page.
If you’re not subscribed to the newletter (the official culver letter, not the GoCulver letter Miss Marquez sends out every month), click here to zip an e-mail to Jan Garrison the newsletter editor and use the word "subscribe" for your message subject line.
For those of you not on the list (possibly quite a few of you) you can read tomorrow’ e-newsletter as soon as its posted at this address: http://www.culver.org/news/e_cannon/index.htm. You can also read all previoius newsletters from this year at that address.
These are quite interesting. Might have a thing or two to say about tomorrow’s message.
I’ve streamlined the forums a bit over the last few days, pulling links to the guestmap and one of the gallery links off to cut down on clutter. With the "back to goculver.com" link you can always zip back to the front page to look at the guestmap if you want to.
I played around with a red color scheme on this site today to match the red design of the main forums (which has really grown on me) but it looked pretty garish. I welcome all comments on how things look on here at the moment.
Next time you’re on Google type in "Culver summer." We’re currently result number 7 for that and number 6 for "Culver alumni" which is really great to see. We’re still not listed for "Culver Summer Camps" (we get beat out by lots of sites about summer camps), but perhaps thats just as well for now.
Enjoy your Wednesday…new episode of Lost is on…anyone up for talking about it in the forums tomorrow night afterwards?
See you in the Shack,
