January All-Camp Assembly, Next Thursday Night at 9 eastern
1. Welcome everyone who’s come here from the @Culver newsletter! Be sure to read through the "about" section above and to stop by the forums and sign up so you can start posting and responding to the other members on here. Great to have you.
2. The Third All-Camp Assembly will be held next Thursday night, the 26th of January at 9pm eastern and will last officially until 11pm eastern. As with the previous two you’re all invited out to the forums for a fun night of posting stories and catching up on things. Expect more details over the next week or so but we WILL have another contest with the prize being free stuff from the UNIFORM shop (a band shirt went out to the winner of the photocaption contest from the last assembly). If you have suggestions for assembly-time discussion topics let us know. Expect a third installment in the "ask/stump a counselor" series of threads!
3. We’ve added a nifty polling feature to the front page here. Take a second to vote on our first topic, "What’s your favorite part of the site?" Sure its a puffball question but it would help to have some feedback about things so we can make improve the info and services on here for all of you. We’ll have a new question every monday for you to vote on and I promise the next one will be a stunner. Be prepared!
4. The editorial staff is working on an upcoming feature for the site running through an extended list of the 50 things we love about Culver Summer Camps to be posted on here over the course of a few weeks. If you’re interested in contributing an item or 3 to the list and writing up a short blurb to accompany it let us know. (something like "#32: Taking out the lasers on a hot day in sailing class or "#45: Regimental sleep-in") We welcome all submissions!
