@Culver Traffic/Culverpedia Online
We had 122 people visit the site on Thursday using links in the @Culver online newsletter. That’s great! Welcome everyone!
14 of these visitors joined up over at the CulverTalk forums and a few have posted.
Just in case the way to join the forums isn’t immediately clear for first time visitors:
By joining you gain access to the CulverTalk forums, the GoCulver Picture galleries, and the Culverpedia (more on that below). you’ll also receive our monthly newsletter "Adjutant’s Call" put together by the Forum Adjutant Miss Marquez D1 ‘05.
The Culverpedia is now up and running. Use the link on the navigation bar to check it out. For those familiar with Wikipedia.org its exactly the same thing, but for Culver Summer Camps information. For those who don’t know the way of the wiki think of it as an open source encyclopedia.
Any visitor can read content in the Culverpedia but once registered and logged in to GoCulver.com you can create your own brand new pages and also edit the pages and information posted by others.
The idea is to make an easy to use guide to Culver as well as way for Culver Summer folks to pool their knowledge about the history, traditions, stories, and images surrounding the place into one open, public location, hence the name Culverpedia.
It’s pretty easy to get going once you make your first new page. instructions are all in there as well. When I get some time I’ll be adding content and structure to it but for now have fun with the two starter pages, an index of E winning companies by year (i started it, you can add to it and flesh it out) and also a comment page about Deck 4 (chosen completely arbitrarily) for people who want to archive Deck 4 info, whatever that may be.
Feel free to start a Deck 1 page, a Pegasus index page, anything you want.
