New “Media”/Go Culver on MySpace
Today I’d like to remind you to check out the Go Culver Photogalleries, now located under the new "MEDIA" link at the top of the front page. Almost 400 pictures from Camp have been uploaded to our servers since the site opened with more coming in all the time. If you have any digital pictures from camp we’d love to host them for everyone to enjoy. If you’re having trouble figuring out how to add your images to the galleries, PM me or ask in the forums and either I or someone else would be glad to help you out.
Also under the new "MEDIA" heading you’ll find a link to streaming Culver Summer Camps Videos on YouTube.com. Right now I’ve uploaded HI QUALITY versions of the Force Four and Super Two Comm Relay videos. I’ve also uploaded a slideshow created by the Mirkowski family at the July 31st, 2006 Garrison for your viewing pleasure. This Summer I expect to be adding video of sporting events, crew races, parades, and many other camp activities as well to YouTube for everyone to enjoy. It might take a while for me to sort out the best way to do it (our server can’t handle streaming video or we’d host them ourselves). If you have any Culver video you’d like to see added to the GoCulver.com collection on YouTube let me know using the contact link on the front page or through a forum PM.
Finally I’ve started up a profile on MySpace.com that I’ll be using to help publicize this site with. There are loads of summer campers and alumni on there and if any of you’d like to add me to your friendlist I certainly won’t complain!
