Front Page Guided Tour

Wondering what the heck is all that stuff on the Go Culver.com front page? Well wonder no more because help is here in the form of this handy-dandy guide. Match the numbers on the front page screen captures to sort out what’s what and you’ll be Culver-ing it up in no time!

1. Front Page Toolbar Links- Here you’ll find links to the Forum index, picture galleries, Culverpedia front page, index of all Go Culver.com members, and information for advertising on Go Culver.com. Very very useful stuff.
2. User Link Pages- by clicking on “Campers”, “Alumni”, “Parents”, or “Staff” you’ll be magically whisked away to collections of links specifically relevant to those groups. These include links to the relevant forums, culverpedia pages, and Culver.org pages as well as other online resources (links to places where you can buy flowers or order food, for example!)
3. Resource Links- On the left panel there, you’ll find links to basic information about Culver Summer Camps, this site, and other sites that might be of interest to visitors. The “Join Go Culver.com” link is also there.
4. Marquee Banner Image- The square in the middle will be periodically updated with a link image to whatever the most interesting and relevant content on the site it at the moment.
5. Site Highlights- This panel is for me to highlight any collections of articles or forum threads that might be of interest to people on here as well. Every few weeks we’ll be switching these out to feature more content.
6. Quick Links Bar- Use this bar to jump over to the Go Culver.com GuestMap, Apparel Shop, and specific sections of the Culverpedia.

1. Search Box- Search all blog posts and pages with the front page searchbox.
2. Camp Countdown- Get the lowdown on the days remaining until next summer!
3. Article Categories- Browse the Blog Archives by picking a category of posts to explore.
4. Recent Discussion Panel- Check out the last three posts from the forums and see who’s online at the moment.
5. Weather Panel- Displays current temperature, wind conditions, and humidity in Culver, Indiana courtesy of weather.com.
6. “Burning Q” Poll Panel- Vote in the current Burning Q or click the “See All Burning Q’s” link to browse through the poll archives and cast your vote there as well!
7. Blog Subscription Services-  Add Go Culver.com blog updates to your Google, Yahoo, AOL, or MSN homepages.
8. Meta Panel- Random links you might enjoy checking out.
9. Category Icon/Links- When a post has an image icon in the upper right corner like that, you can click on that image to see a page of nothing but other posts from that category, more Go Culver.com news, more Super Two news, more Culverpedia Updates etc etc. At the bottom of each post you’ll also find a text link to the category collection pages.  A great way to browse the blog!
